What happened to Sub Fm?

Sub FM La Trobe Student Radio was closed in December 2006 due to a loss of funding that was a consequence of the voluntary student union legislation introduced by the Howard government in late 2005 and enacted in June 2006. An arrangement was made for the transfer of use of the FM transmitter to Kiss FM who began transmitting on the 88FM narrowcast band in 2007. Use of the existing radio station facilities was given to La Trobe Life Skills who use it for training purposes. Their radio show can still be heard live via the subfm webcast on Monday's and Thursday's at 10am.
